Salvation Army selects national spokesperson

ALEXANDRIA, VA: The Salvation Army has appointed Ron Busroe community relations and development secretary for its US headquarters.

ALEXANDRIA, VA: The Salvation Army has appointed Ron Busroe community relations and development secretary for its US headquarters.

Busroe, who will use the title of major, will serve as the Salvation Army's national spokesperson and help to raise awareness of its social service programs, volunteer opportunities, and events. He will also aim to strengthen the organization's relationships with growing demographics, particularly teenagers and young adults.

Prior to this, Busroe was the director of the Salvation Army's Haiti recovery and development office. He has also served as a corps officer pastor in North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida for 20 years, as well as area commander of the Salvation Army in Tulsa, OK.
