Castrol names Ogilvy lead agency in US

NEW YORK: Castrol, the automotive and industrial lubricants brand owned by BP, has selected Ogilvy Public Relations as its lead agency for the US.

NEW YORK: Castrol, the automotive and industrial lubricants brand owned by BP, has selected Ogilvy Public Relations as its lead agency for the US.

Ogilvy, which will lead the account out of its New York office, will develop a media relations campaign for Castrol's GTX and EDGE products. It will also support the brand's sports sponsorships with Major League Soccer, US Soccer, and the National Football League.

The agency has worked on media relations initiatives for Castrol Index, the brand's ranking system for Major League Soccer, since 2011.
