NEW YORK: NBCUniversal has appointed Lori Conkling, former EVP of distribution at A&E Network, to EVP of strategy and business development.
The role falls into a newly developed area of the company that aims to create a digital strategy across mobile, social media, and online through monetization of cross-platform content and innovation. She is reporting to Lauren Zalaznick, EVP at NBCUniversal, who leads the group.
Conkling's scope of work includes working with other company leaders to form a business strategy for NBCUniversal's new and existing digital businesses. She will concentrate on mobile efforts.
During her five year stint at A&E, she led distribution strategy across various platforms for the network. She also handled field sales and national accounts for the company in the US and Canada.
