MADISON, WI: The Wisconsin Army National Guard's 20-member 112th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment will begin handling PR for the military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, starting in mid-April.

The public affairs unit includes print and broadcast specialists who will handle media relations, produce a camp newspaper, and escort visitors.

A prime aim of the one-year tour of duty is conveying to the public and the media that prisoners there “are being treated very well,” Commander Rick Morehouse told the Associated Press.
