SAN FRANCISCO: Online brand monitoring company, Visible Technologies, has selected fellow WPP entity Blanc & Otus (B&O) as its AOR.

Visible Technologies, which is coming off a second round of investment last fall, is hoping to raise its profile in the marketplace, particularly among PR professionals and marketers who could potentially use their technology. To that end, B&O will also be using Visible Technologies with its own clients.

The company is also hoping to position itself as a thought leader based on content from it blog, VisInsights.com, which covers the digital marketplace.

“When they were founded [in 2003] they were on the leading edge of the metric movement,” said Brian Fuller, SVP of digital media and content creation at B&O. “Now everyone's talking about metrics. People are buying [other] tools and have [PR] strategies, but [aren't] seeing a return.”

Visible Technologies would not discuss the other firms that were in the running for their AOR slot. However, the company was looking for a firm beyond its immediate Seattle region that would have the ability to take their message nationwide and, possibly, internationally.
