according to CNNPolitics.com, Edwards leads Democratic candidates in Iowa with 27%, followed by Clinton with 22% and Obama with 16%. Romney
leads Republicans with 25% followed by Thompson with 14% and Giuliani with 13%.
In
New Hampshire,
Clinton appears
to have a lock while Romney and Giuliani are neck and neck.
Endorsement are like a never-ending stream during election
seasons. Among the latest in the news: Mondale
endorsed Clinton and the mayor of Portsmouth, NH,
endorsed Richardson.
Sometimes they can be like a double-edged blade apparently, as with reports
that Obama reportedly doesn't want too many Hollywood
endorsements,
including Brad Pitt's.
