Radiohead, fresh from its innovative album prerelease, whereby the British band offered the digital version of its new album, In Rainbows, at whatever price fans wished to pay, is planning to release the proper CD through an independent system, according to the New York Times.

“Under the proposed deal, Radiohead would license the album, “In Rainbows,” for a specified period of time but retain ownership of the recording.”
