Sen. John McCain's
inability to readily recall the number of homes he owns inspired Obama campaign
strategists to create a
new TV ad. The Obama campaign is also framing the comment as a
damaging admission during the present US mortgage crisis.
The McCain camp swiftly responded, citing Obama's own mansion with four fireplaces in tony Hyde Park, Chicago, as well as launching a
Web site, "Obama Rezko: Shady Deal."
Polls show the race tightening as the canidates enter into September.
