Crisis lessons for PRWeek

John Abrams January 31, 2008

The e-mail torrent that rained from PRWeek's website into my e-mail box (and I assume hundreds of others) was disruptive and frustrating.

Is it PR or spin?

Wes Pedersen August 06, 2007

With his interview of Karen Hughes, the undersecretary of State for public diplomacy and public affairs, Ted McKenna has shown remarkable insight into our government's official international PR operations.

Call for green seconded

Debra Rizzi July 16, 2007

As designers who believe that small changes can make a big difference, especially within the graphic design industry where the end product relies heavily on natural resources like paper, we were thrilled to see Sarah Gerrol's letter ("Turning PR green," PRWeek, June 18).

Bridging generation gap

June 18, 2007

I just read Tom Martin's column ("Generations can teach each other - if given the chance," (sub req'd) PRWeek, May 7) and had to write and say how right-on he is.

Excellence is lacking

No real conflict at Times

April 23, 2007

In your April 2 Newsmaker on my former Sitrick & Co. colleague Mark Saylor, you made a confusing and potentially misleading reference to a "potential scandal" at the LA Times "involving Hollywood producer Brian Grazer, a dangerous romance, a killed editorial section, and Saylor's former Sitrick colleagues [now with 42West] Allan Mayer and Kelly Mullens."

Tanya Lewis' recent story, "What's Mandarin for 'press release'?" (PRWeek, February 12), touched on some important tactics for launching an international PR program.

No grounds for judgment

March 12, 2007

I silently applauded Jenny Dervin's rant against the opportunists who flew in like vultures to offer their PR services to JetBlue, as though they had any idea beyond what they read from news coverage what actually was transpiring within the company ("JetBlue flies solo as it combats fallout from grounding debacle," PRWeek, February 26).

What goes around...

March 05, 2007

JetBlue has had its share of advocates and defenders in the aftermath of its Valentine's Day Massacre. And one can argue all day long as to whether the airline did or didn't do things well, or whether it will or won't survive.

An incomplete arsenal

February 19, 2007

Your recent front-page story, "Toyota's Tundra launch loaded with PR arsenal" (PRWeek, February 5) was a nice overview of our efforts to launch the new full-size pickup, but the article left some of the assault weapons in the bunker.
