NEW YORK: Dillard University, a historically black university in New Orleans, hired Hill & Knowlton to oversee a major rebranding campaign. The effort will integrate creative online and interactive technologies, provided by H&K's digital practice, and will include strategic positioning of the Dillard University visionary platform.

H&K will kick off a new campaign, Advantage Dillard!, May 9. The effort aims to not only boost the school's reputation, but to raise $70 million to assist with faculty recruitment and rebuilding parts of the campus that were damaged during Hurricane Katrina.

"We sought a firm that had outstanding expertise in marketing and strategic planning and could best position the Dillard brand in both the national and international educational arena," Dillard University president Marvalene Hughes said in a statement.
